Joel & Son's renowned fabrics had to be reflected within the UI and design of the store. Our brief was to find a way to not only deliver the essence of the in-store brand experience but also to allow customers to "feel" and explore the vast number of fabrics in their glory through an online shopping experience. We explored designs for both desktop and mobile considering every step of the journey. Following the creative phases we built a cutting-edge online store 2.0 enabled Shopify Plus theme that is fast and leaves the brand in control of their store. The build leverages Shopify latest features including metaobjects, custom purchase journeys and integration of Shopify Plus partner technology. The result includes an easy navigation, search functionality and upsells site-wide.

Migrating from Magento to Shopify
Joel & Son's historical store was built on Magento and stored over 50,000 products and a large number of product collections/categories. Our team built a dedicated backend app to retrieve the data from the Magento servers and import it into Shopify to ensure a seamless transfer from Magento to Shopify Plus. Following this, the large number of customers and historical orders were imported into Shopify Plus.
